Selling Your Used Items to Tony: Do’s and Don’t's
Look for this guy. This is Tony, and he is the only one that can authorize the purchase of used items that you have available for sale. This is your first step. Tony will be up front and honest with you regarding his interest in your items and the price you are asking for them. He won’t lowball you, but he is not going to offer top dollar as he is still looking to make a profit. He is extremely fair and to the point. He’s not going to waste your time or his.
If you call or stop by one of our locations, our friendly staff are happy to prepare a message for Tony containing the following information about the items you have to sell:
- List of items
- Your asking price for the lot
- Your name
- Your contact number
Do:
- Have a detailed, but brief list of the items you have available
- Have a ballpark figure of how much you are asking for the items as a whole
- Feel free to relay specific information about specialty items
- Allow Tony two business days to return your call
- Move on to Plan B (i.e. Goodwill, Craigslist, etc.) if you don’t hear from Tony in two business days
Don’t:
- Show up with a truck or car full of items as Tony may not be available to view what you have to sell
- Call back repeatedly if you don’t hear from Tony. That simply means that he is probably not interested in your items at this time.
Things to Remember:
- Tony is more likely to call you back if you have a concise list with a bottom line asking price
- Tony is currently only interested in purchasing Flat Screen and Flat Panel Plasma and LCD TV’s.
- Tony prefers appliances that are less than 5 years old.
- Tony does not buy electronics, DVD’s, CD’s, and games. He obtains these items at auction.
- Tony does buy go-karts, lawn mowers, motorcycles, and appliances in good working condition.
